Richard Crawshaw

Richard Crawshaw has degrees in Early Childhood Education and Primary Education and a Post Graduate degree in Special Education. He has over 11 years teaching experience in wide range of mainstream and special educational settings in both Primary and Secondary sections. This experience has included teaching in China, England and Australia, where Richard has held positions on leadership, coaching and management teams. His vast knowledge of the curriculum and in particular Special Needs Education led him to his current role as Team Leader at the Travancore School Education Unit at Orygen Youth Health where he works as part of the Psycho-social recovery groups program. Through his work in Mental Health, Richard has facilitated and actively participated in a broad range professional development workshops on particular mental illnesses, psychosocial recovery in adolescents, mental health in education and mental health in the classroom. More recently Richard, in his role on the Leadership Team at Travancore, led whole school change in innovations and technology, focused on online engagement and collaboration. He has written many successful and ongoing whole school curriculum policy and procedure documents, as well as presentations for professional learning, and articles for local newspapers on mental health in education. He has participated in significant professional development programmes in adolescent mental health and is passionate about on-going learning.

Erica Edmands

Erica has degrees in Law and labour relations/ economics, as well as coaching certificates and postgraduate qualifications in Finance. She is accredited in Genos Emotional Intelligence. Erica has 20 years experience in business spanning law, professional services, government, banking, financial services and manufacturing. Commencing her career as an EEO and Diversity Lawyer with Freehills, Erica later held Head of Human Resources roles with Comalco Smelting and was Head of HR for Minter Ellison, another top tier national law firm. After having her third child she left corporate life and established her own successful small business. In that role she worked for 5 years as an Associate Director of one of Australia’s leading work life and diversity consultancies and was engaged for projects within Australia and Asia. A sought after facilitator, commentator and speaker on diversity, self-leadership and resilience, Erica has appeared on ABC radio and television and written many opinion pieces for major newspapers and journals. She is a contributing author to published texts on mental health in the work place and resilience and has been commissioned to write chapters on Resilience for a book on Mental Health in the Workplace. A Director of Potential Spaces and InclusionMatters and an Associate Director of mh@work for 5 years, Erica has had a successful business consulting career both Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore.
